Sportable

Central Virginia’s premier adaptive sports club, Sportable provides sporting opportunities to more than 400 athletes each year by offering a variety of competitive and recreational adaptive sports programs. The MedRVA Foundation covers Sportable membership fees for individuals with visual impairments. Interested in learning more about accessible sports and recreational opportunities? Virginia voice studio

Virginia Voice

Virginia Voice provides access to current newspapers and magazines as well as live audio descriptions for the performing arts to individuals who are blind or vision-impaired or have a physical impairment that prevents them from using printed matter. The MedRVA Foundation sponsors Virginia Voice’s live audio narration of Richmond Flying Squirrels games.Virginia Voice’s services are free of charge. Call (804) 266-2477 today to connect.

Richmond Flying Squirrels

The MedRVA Foundation partners with Richmond’s favorite baseball team to offer free tickets to home games for people with vision impairment. Each ticket includes a personal handheld radio for live play-by-play broadcasts, plus a special on-field experience before the game. The Foundation also provides free vision screenings for children at select Squirrels events.
