Virginia Pediatric Ophthalmology Specialists (VPOS) has been a busy entity since its inception in 2002 at Stony Point Medical Office Building. Their work encompasses all aspects of pediatric eye care, including surgical management of strabismus in adults and children, children’s glasses, and contact lenses. Spanish and Arabic are spoken in the office.Education
Dr. Doerr obtained his Bachelors degree in biology and Masters degree in reproductive physiology from West Virginia University. He received his medical degree from West Virginia University in 2011. He then went on to complete a general surgery internship followed by his ophthalmology residency training at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville. After residency, he went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.Profile
Dr. Doerr and his wife, Brooke, fell in love with the central Virginia area during his time in Charlottesville for residency. He is thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to provide complete pediatric eye care to the Richmond and central Virginia area.Testimonials
