Mervyn Colina, MD

Experience

Dr. Colina joined the staff of Stony Point Surgery Center in July 2017. Prior to this, he served as Chief of Anesthesiology at Tappahannock Medical Center and John Randolph Medical Center, and as Medical Director for both Memorial ASC in Mechanicsville and St. Mary’s ASC. Dr. Colina is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists.

Education

Dr. Colina attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate education, graduating with distinction. He went on to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia and a Family Practice residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. Dr. Colina then went on to complete a second residency at MCV in clinical anesthesiology, with concentrations in Chronic and Acute Pain Management, Pediatrics, Neuro, Cardiac, and Ambulatory surgery.
